Neighborhood Standards Committee
We all want our neighborhood to look as good as possible. Here are two ways to help:
1. Code Enforcement - I need a few people who are willing to work with me on Code Enforcement. If you are interested in scouting the neighborhood to look for properties in need of special attention such as peeling paint, uncut grass or more serious maintenance, please contact me at my phone number or e-mail below.
2. Leaves in curbs - I have noticed that many people have not cleaned up leaves from their curbs. Leaves clog drainage along the street. If this applies to you, please clean up the leaves from your curbs.
Other concerns are recycling and yard waste pickup. On trash day, I see many recyclable materials such as cardboard and yard waste sticking out of trash cans. You have many options for recycling.
Yard waste is currently picked up every week, free of charge. Check the Columbus website for your pickup day – http://ci.columbus.oh.us Yard waste can be set out in a regular trash can or put in special yard waste bags that can be purchased at a home improvement store or a grocery store.
